Job Description

The Company

Our client is a leading international & reputable Travel group and is looking to identify a Product Director (role based in Beijing). They are ideally looking for someone with Travel management/airline experience.

 

The Role

  • Develop, implement and manage an overall business plan in Air Contracting and Hotel & Ancillary distribution.
  • Ensure all China Air sales revenue and income targets under contracts are achieved.
  • Ensure strong Hotel & Ancillary distribution strategy that will drive productivity and margin and contract volume targets (both local and global)
  • Develop and maintain key supplier relationships
  • Own and drive the internal communication of all preferred product strategies at all levels of the organization
  • Proactively manage cross department relationships (operations, sales, account management & finance) and business partner with them to ensure the effective sales of preferred suppliers and implementation of client specific product arrangements.
  • Provide direction, coaching and leadership for the China Product & Ticketing team across Beijing and Shanghai offices
  • Create a culture across the Product and Ticketing Team that embraces change and strives for constant improvement in terms of efficiency, effectiveness, and meeting business goals
  • Standardize business processes across the ticketing and product areas

 

The Person

  • At least 5 years of travel industry experience – essential (Experience in Travel Management Company/Airline is highly desired)
  • Demonstrated strong contract negotiation experience with strong analytical, pricing skills
  • Ability to develop and implement business strategies
  • Demonstrated leadership and coaching capabilities
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to network at all levels
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English and Mandarin Chinese
  • Well presented with a high degree of professionalism
  • Demonstrates personal excellence by showing personal determination, resilience and is optimistic in changing circumstances
  • Demonstrated track record of achieving results against set targets
