The Role
Assistant Front Office Manager assists the Front Office Manager in all Front Office Operations to ensure profitability by maximizing revenue opportunities, monitors the plan key performance targets to ensure goals are achieved and control costs.
Ensures all systems are kept up to date with accurate information and standards are complied with fully. Develops team, individual skills and performance to the highest possible level. To deliver loyalty program benefits and to promote enrolment of the loyalty program and quality standards to ensure total guest satisfaction. Specifically, you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards.
Manage day-to-day operations, ensuring the quality, standards and meeting the expectations of the customers on a daily basis.
Evaluate levels of Guest satisfaction and monitor trends, with a focus on continuous improvement of our resort experience
Ensure regular and VIP Guests are recognized and that the Front Office department operates with a guest centric attitude going above and beyond providing unforgettable experiences.
Develops specific goals and plans to prioritize, organize, and accomplish your work.
Set departmental objectives, work schedules, budgets, policies, and procedures
Monitor the appearance, standards, and performance of the Front Office Team Members with an
emphasis on training and teamwork
Ensure Team Members have current knowledge of hotel products, services, pricing and policies, as
well as knowledge of the local area, and are continuously trained to learn and understand policies and practices
Maintain good communication and working relationships with all resort departments
Monitor staffing levels to meet cover business demands
Conduct daily briefings and monthly communication meetings
Manage Team members performance issues in compliance with company policies and procedures
Recruit, manage, train and develop the Front Office team
Comply and have a full understanding of the resort security, fire regulations and all health and safety legislation
Act in accordance with policies and procedures when working with front of house equipment and
property management systems
Assist with the coordination with the local authorities and local parties when is require
Performs other duties as assigned, requested or deemed necessary by management
The Person
Minimum of two (2) years in a similar management level position
Luxury Hotel / Resort experience
Proficient level of verbal English and knowledge of local language is a plus
Sound computer knowledge including Microsoft Office, Opera and Fusion
Excellent communication skills
Ability to thrive at work with essential components of service excellence such as team work,
flexibility and responsibility.
Ability to handle difficult situations in a professional manner
Ability to work non-shift duties
Extensive knowledge of Maldives
