Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Country Manager to lead our client's operations in Thailand. This role is pivotal in driving profitable sales growth, ensuring operational excellence, and representing the organization in the local market. The ideal candidate will possess a strong sales leadership background, a deep understanding of the Thailand travel industry, and the ability to navigate complex cross-functional and cross-cultural environments.
Responsibilities
As the Country Manager, you will:
- Lead the Thailand team with full profit and loss (P&L) responsibility.
- Develop and maintain strong partnerships with key accounts and customers, representing the organization externally.
- Implement processes to enhance the effectiveness of the sales team and foster a high-performance culture.
- Execute strategic plans to achieve revenue, profitability, and growth targets.
- Oversee sales, sales support, and operations to ensure efficiency, quality, and cost-effective resource management.
- Monitor market trends and competitor activities to identify growth opportunities and expand into new markets and segments.
- Build strong internal partnerships across global channels and key functional stakeholders.
- Recruit, motivate, coach, and develop a high-performing team in Thailand.
- Ensure compliance with financial, legislative, legal, and ethical standards.
- Drive talent retention, attract top-performing individuals, and maintain employee engagement.
Qualifications
To excel in this role, you should have:
- A proven track record of sales leadership with strong sales skills and competencies.
- Extensive experience and commercial knowledge of the Thailand travel industry/market.
- The ability to build and maintain relationships at senior levels with both internal and external stakeholders.
- A results-driven mindset with a history of delivering pragmatic solutions and achieving objectives.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Native Thai language proficiency and fluent English skills in reading, writing, listening, and speaking.
