Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Resort Manager to oversee the daily operations of our client's resort. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring optimal guest satisfaction, maintaining a positive working environment, and achieving the resort's financial and operational objectives. This role requires a dynamic leader who can implement strategic plans, manage diverse teams, and uphold the highest standards of service and compliance.

Responsibilities
  • Guest Satisfaction & Operations: Ensure the resort operates in alignment with established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and policies to deliver exceptional guest experiences.

  • Strategic Planning: Develop and execute plans and budgets, including revenue and cost management, while safeguarding quality and operational efficiency.

  • Team Leadership: Manage and coordinate Department Heads and Assistant Managers, including recruitment, training, performance reviews, and scheduling.

  • Financial Oversight: Prepare monthly financial reports, oversee accounting processes, and justify any deviations or differences.

  • Compliance & Safety: Ensure adherence to employment regulations, Occupational Health & Safety standards, fire regulations, and other legal requirements.

  • Marketing & Promotion: Implement marketing plans and oversee the production and distribution of promotional materials to attract target groups.

  • Problem Solving: Handle guest complaints and lead internal and external meetings to address operational challenges.

Qualifications
  • Proven experience in hotel or resort management, with a strong track record of achieving financial and operational goals.

  • Exceptional leadership and team management skills.

  • Strong financial acumen, including budgeting, cost control, and financial reporting.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • In-depth knowledge of hospitality industry standards, legal regulations, and compliance requirements.

  • Ability to develop and implement strategic plans and improvement initiatives.

  • Proficiency in using hotel management software and other relevant tools.

Day-to-Day
  • Oversee daily operations to ensure smooth functioning across all departments.

  • Monitor guest feedback and implement measures to enhance satisfaction.

  • Coordinate with Department Heads to ensure timely execution of activities and adherence to schedules.

  • Conduct regular staff meetings to communicate goals, updates, and expectations.

  • Review financial performance and implement cost-saving measures where necessary.

  • Ensure compliance with all legal, safety, and corporate identity standards.

  • Address and resolve any operational issues or guest concerns promptly.
