Director of Commercial Strategy – Luxury Hospitality
Join a world-class hospitality team as the Director of Commercial Strategy, where you'll lead the development and execution of commercial strategies that drive performance, profitability, and market positioning for a prestigious luxury hotel.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement the hotel’s business outlook and commercial strategy, ensuring alignment with brand philosophies, guidelines, and initiatives.
Collaborate with the Director of Revenue to provide strategic input on pricing, inventory, channel management, and distribution across all market segments.
Lead coordination of sales strategies across regional sales offices, corporate revenue management, marketing teams, and on-property leadership.
Communicate commercial strategies to relevant departments and adapt plans based on market fluctuations.
Partner with Marketing & Communications to shape strategic marketing offers and demand-specific campaigns across digital and traditional platforms.
Identify future revenue opportunities and communicate actionable strategies to sales and marketing teams.
Evaluate channel performance and optimize budget allocation to maximize return on investment.
Maintain awareness of competitor activities, including pricing, product changes, and market positioning.
Oversee annual sales expenditure and manage monthly forecasts to ensure budget control.
Co-develop the hotel’s annual budget and marketing plan with revenue and marketing leaders, adjusting as needed to reflect market dynamics.
Analyze booking trends and business performance against market benchmarks, forecasts, and historical data.
Conduct weekly competitive analysis on pricing, seasonality, market mix, and displacement.
Monitor key events and holidays impacting demand and implement targeted strategies accordingly.
Ensure timely and accurate processing of reservation inquiries to capture demand data.
Utilize and comprehend technical systems related to Reservations, Sales, and Revenue Management (e.g., SMS, SynXis, Datavision, IDeaS, Delphi).
Demonstrate strong business acumen through analysis of financial statements, revenue reports, and market data.
What We’re Looking For
Minimum 10 years of experience in a luxury hotel or corporate hospitality environment, with deep expertise in Sales & Revenue segments.
Degree or Higher National Diploma in Revenue, Sales, Hotel/Hospitality, or Business Management.
- Fluency in both English and Mandarin strongly preferred to effectively communicate across diverse teams and regional stakeholders.
