About the Company

Our client is an Australian owned global travel company providing professional destination marketing services in China to their international travel partners. They have offices in Sydney, Brisbane and Shanghai.



About the Role

They are currently seeking a talented, international sales director for their destination marketing business. Based in either their Sydney or Brisbane office and reporting to the managing director this newly created senior role which would suite a dynamic, energetic and entrepreneurial sales professional. This is an opportunity to demonstrate your business acumen, with a dedicated focus on driving new business opportunities and achieving accountable results.  A proven track record in sales delivery is essential.

Responsibilities

· Work with international operators, wholesalers and travel agents from AUS/ UK/ North America/ Canada on customised and standard tours

· Promote and build relationships and deliver contracts with international operators in their respective markets

· Actively source new business opportunities and develop existing relationships to meet company objectives

· Generate leisure and MICE sales through strong relationship building and effective communication for the destination marketing business partners

· Determine business development strategies to deliver and exceed organization revenue and profit targets.

· Effectively measure and report on sales results with updated strategies

· Establish regular sales visits and call pattern for meetings with principles of target markets

· Manage own portfolio of key accounts and entertain key contacts of existing and potential accounts



The Person

· Experience in a senior role within leisure travel, airline or events Industry

· Proven results in sales and business development  

· Excellent communication (written and verbal), presentation and negotiation skills

· Strong interpersonal and influencing skills, able to communicate effectively at all levels

· A flexible can-do attitude

· Business tourism knowledge, destination marketing, event travel or extensive travel experience  

· Able to travel as required
