About the Company

Our client is a global Travel Commerce Platform, focused on providing distribution, technology, payment and other solutions for the global travel and tourism industry. They have a leading platform that enables travel providers, travel agencies, corporations and developers to search, share, buy and sell travel.

The Trainer is a wide ranging role which focuses on the implementation of Training with the Company's product suite to industry based clients in Asia and internal staff.  The Trainer is responsible for ensuring the local provision and delivery of high standard internal and external customer service through training in line with company service policy


About the Role

This role is required to manage and drive training activities/ learning initiatives such as designing and delivering in-house products/ softskill learning programs in Asia. Also, the incumbent must have the ability to adapt to the change situation and work very independently.

  • Design and expand training and development programs based on the needs of the organization and it’s evolving product suite
  • Working with the Training Department to produce satisfactory programs to internal and external stakeholders including agents, colleges, new employees, product managers
  • Tailor classroom style based on attendees to ensure satisfactory competence and knowledge by means of virtual training settings or blended training solutions
  • Develop training documentation and delivery of training on the Company's Products 
  • Maintain CMS Training Database
  • Manage the delivery of training and development programs
  • Ensure all statutory and contracted training requirements are met
  • Amend and revise programs as necessary, in order to adapt to changes occurring in the work environment
  • Keep up to date with developments in training by reading relevant journals, going to meetings and attending relevant courses
  • Have an understanding of e-learning techniques, and where relevant, being involved in the creation and/or delivery of e-learning packages
  • Research new technologies and methodologies in workplace learning and present to team, where possible
  • Participate in the entire service relationship to ensure design, development documentation and implementation of solutions
  • Provide a local plan for staff development in liaison with Training Manager/ Team leader
  • Monitor customer product usage through training and identify any additional support/training requirements

  • Provide information to The Training Manager / Team leader  on potential new business opportunities or threats
  • Identify and act on opportunities to increase training revenue
  • Administration
  • Developing Training Documentation and the delivery of Training on the Company's Products 
  • Maintain CMS Training Database
  • Monitor and supervise course confirmation and preparation 


The Person

  • University degree in Business in Human Resources Management, Organizational Behavior, Learning & Development or other relevant discipline;
  • Minimum 6 years' experience in the areas of learning and development or product training within a sizable multinational corporation or travel industry
  • Minimum of 1 – 2 years Training Delivery Experience and previous experience in an E-Learning and/or Webex learning environment
  • Outstanding communication and presentation skills
  • Pro-active, mature, well-organized with excellent influencing skills
  • Excellent command in spoken Cantonese, Mandarin and English and written Chinese, English
