The Company

Are you an experienced Travel Consultant who is passionate about the travel industry and selling amazing holidays?

Our client is a holiday and leisure travel specialist whose mission is to deliver unique and personally enriching travel experiences to their customers at a fair price. They provide customer focused, world-class and socially conscious travel services that empower their customers to explore travel options they may not otherwise consider

The Role

Due to the growth and success of the business, our client is looking to hire an enthusiastic and talented senior travel consultant to join their team in Brisbane. They are looking for travel consultants who are passionate and knowledgeable about travel, and who can create exciting travel itineraries in a fast-paced working environment

Key responsibilities : -

·Diagnose the client's specifications and wishes and suggest suitable travel packages and services

·Organize travel from beginning to end, through booking tickets and accommodation, securing rental transportation etc

·Research various destinations and means of travel regarding prices, customs,weather conditions, reviews etc

·Ensure clients are provided with an exceptional service experience at all times and assisting in the resolution of any issues as they arise

·Maintain a passion and enthusiasm regarding travel and continually develop and expand knowledge and experience of the international leisure market

·Maintain an extensive knowledge of all relevant systems and procedures

·Have a thorough understanding of supplier options and maintain positive interactions and strong relationships with all suppliers

·Assist in developing a growing client base through proactive sales and the creation of VIP experiences

·To deliver exceptional travel advice and consulting service for our customers

·Excellent airfare knowledge and able to provide alternatives in all travelclasses

·Maximise each sale to its fullest through up-sell and cross-sell opportunities and achieve monthly commission and service fee targets

·Be responsible for the development and maintenance of loyal, repeat customers and ensure all client data is current and housed in the database

The Person

·Ideally will have a minimum 5 years travel industry experience preferably in leisure

·Ability to work under pressure and multi-task while maintaining professional rapport with clients

·Good problem-solving skills and meticulous attention to detail

·Have great sales and customer service skills

·Enthusiastic and self-motivated with a positive and professional attitude

·Good team player and collaborative mindset to drive the best outcome

·Hands on knowledge of GDS system (Sabre, Galileo or Amadeus)

·Good verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
