Our client is a well recognised luxury hotel brand in the region.  Well establish in Indonesia and a market leader in their arena.



About the Role

You will holistically manage all aspects of sales pertaining to the China Market.  The Senior Sales Manager will interact frequently with customers and Guests to learn about their needs and develop relationships from which to earn repeat and expanded business. Specifically, you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

- Maximise all revenue opportunities in all market segments

- Review business plans, identify gaps and ensure proactive efforts to fill capacity and meet set targets

- Contribute to the selling strategy of the hotel, and manage the departments adherence to achieving that strategy

- Understand the competitive market place and implement approaches to ensure the hotel stays ahead in the local market

- Organize hotel promotional activities

- Coordinate services for events, such as accommodation, facilities, catering and groups

- Execute site inspections and monitor event activities to meet requirements of both guests and attendees

- Maintain records of event activities including financial transactions

- Business Development, build, develop and gain market share for all China Market Key Accounts

- Successfully service and grow current accounts and businesses  

- Effectively design and implement key strategic actions that will lead to success

- Work closely with other departments to ensure that all guest / groups / events / meetings are well taken care beyond expectations



The Person

- Demonstrated previous managerial or supervisory experience in previous role

- Strong leadership skills to effectively manage and achieve high levels of performance and exceed targets

- Strong analytical skills to understand key business indicators and competitive trends and develop approaches to these challenges

- Excellent selling and negotiation capabilities

- Excellent organisational and planning skills

- Accountable and resilient

- Ability to work under pressure

- A team player and good communicator

- Must be effectively bilingual  

- Flexibility to respond to a range of different work situations

- An expert in the Chinese Market with sound industry knowledge and market feedback

- Knowledge of the hotel property management systems

- Previous experience or minimum 3 years in the same or similar role

- Recognised degree in a relevant field required
