THE COMPANY

Our client is part of an International portfolio and consists of more than 140 unique, stylish and strategically located hotel properties. They are actively expanding their global presence in Asia, Europe, the Middle East and including continued growth in the Australian market.

They currently have an exciting opportunity for a passionate, results driven and experienced sales professional to join their fun and dynamic team in Brisbane.

THE ROLE

You will be responsible for developing and managing new business opportunities for the property as well and maintaining existing business. As the Senior Business Development Manager, you will work closely with and report in to the Hotel General Manager.

Responsibilities include: –

·Prospecting and identification of new business opportunities

·Secure and further develop key corporate accounts and target accounts within Consortia, Long Stay & MICE market segments

·Sales calls and presentations to prospective clients

·Maintain relationships with Brisbane based accounts for the Australian Cluster properties

·Actively promote, generate leads and cross sell across all other properties, and work with the team members to maximize opportunity

·Generate sales through strong relationship building and effective communication

·Work with Hotel Teams to implement best practice for allocated segments including Business Planning, Strategy and Tactics

·Create and execute sales strategies to deliver organisation revenue and profit targets

·Preparing proposals and presentations for new business, and existing client

·Facilitate site inspections and participate in various tradeshows, expos and tourism body promotions/events

·Work with other industry partners (airlines etc), international operators, wholesalers and travel agents

THE PERSON

·Passionate about sales with a track record of increasing corporate sales and building relationships

·Demonstrated experience in hospitality sales and managing key account relationships

·Corporate 'hunter' who can deliver results

·Show strong commercial acumen and understanding of sales forecasts and budgets

·Proven track record in revenue generation

·Have capacity to adapt quickly to market and individual client needs

·Strong understanding of long terms sales strategies and associated practices

·Possess strong organisation, negotiation and leadership skills

·Enthusiastic and self motivated with the ability to work independently

·Excellent networks within the Corporate, MICE, Conference & Leisure segments to develop new business

·Excellent communication (written and verbal), presentation and negotiation skills
