The Role

Our client has an exciting opportunity for a dynamic and self-motivated sales professional with a passion for hospitality service excellence to manage and grow this niche market. This is an opportunity to demonstrate your leadership ability and business acumen, with a dedicated focus on building relationships and achieving accountable results

Responsibilities

·Develop existing relationships and actively source new business opportunities

·Generate leisure and MICE sales through strong relationship building and effective communication

·Create and execute sales and marketing strategies and campaigns to deliver organisation revenue and profit targets

·Facilitate site inspections and participate in various tradeshows, expos and tourism body promotions/events

·Work with other industry partners (airlines etc), international operators, wholesalers and travel agents

·Actively coach and mentor team members to ensure ongoing sales skill development and performance improvement, when appropriate

·Maintain regular contact with other hotels and report leads and relevant business opportunities



The Person

·At least 3-5 years of hotel sales experience preferably in luxury hotels

·Passionate about sales with a track record of increasing sales and building relationships

·Excellent networks within the MICE, Conference, Corporate & Leisure segments to develop new business

·Excellent communication (written and verbal), presentation and negotiation skills

·Strong interpersonal and influencing skills, able to communicate effectively at all levels

·Innovative self-starter with a hands-on approach who enjoys working in a dynamic fast moving environment

·Able to work independently with demonstrated ability to multi-task and meet deadlines

·Able to travel as required
