Job Description

The Company:

Our client is a refined 5* hotel located in Macau with 400+ rooms and 5 restaurant outlets.

The Restaurant: offers Portuguese and authentic Macanese dishes.

 

The Role:

The restaurant manager will be in charge of the day to day operation of the restaurant and assist in formulating long term strategy. He/she will also help in creating a pleasant dining environment and experience for guests.

The restaurant manager will assume operational and financial responsibility for the restaurant. This includes maintaining an optimum manpower and supplies level, providing excellent services to guests.

The restaurant manager has to ensure that all colleagues maintain a high standard of personal hygiene and grooming at all times.

The potential candidate has to maintain a good knowledge of all hotel facilities and has to be able to answer guest questions in a quick, polite and helpful manner.

The restaurant manager will have to attend meetings and training sessions that may be beneficial personally or to the restaurant operation.

He/she has to provide leadership and support for the restaurant colleagues and ensure the profitability, efficiency and creativity in the restaurant.

Other main responsibilities:

-Plan menus, prices and promotional events for Restaurant in order to maximize revenue generating opportunities.

-Identify areas for improvement in service and food & beverage quality by reviewing various service quality audit reports, guest comment cards and guest incident reports, and formulate action plans.

-Encourage proactive, efficient and effective inter-departmental communication in order to promote a climate of teamwork and enthusiasm.

-Advise and consult with Executive Chef, Beverage & Bar Manager and Chief Steward as to service procedures, quality and quantity of products, menus, merchandising and promotional programs which will keep up the business and profit.


The Person

Minimum 5-8 years experience is required

The candidate: someone that is customer focused, talks beyond today, is optimistic, creates mileposts and symbols to rally support behind the vision and can inspire and motivate the team.

Can be counted on to exceed goals successfully; result- driven.

Has the functional and technical knowledge and skills to do the job at a high level of accomplishment.

Organised and problem solving: can marshal resources (people, funding, material, support) to get things done and looks beyond the obvious and doesn't stop at the first answers.
