Summary:

• Develop and manage marketing and promotional activities by collaborating with local agents and General Sales Agents in Asia
• Working very closely with the President- Asia to develop, manage the Asia marketing plan and budget, to drive market growth and brand awareness.
This position will be working closely with the Sales, PR, Reservation & global Marketing teams to achieve revenue and market share. You will also be responsible for producing sales report and analysing trends and results.

 

Responsibilities:

• Conceptualise and execute all A&P related matters.
• Develop and manage communication and promotional activities by collaborating with travel agents, consumers, General Sales Agents, trade show organizers, design houses, public relations, advertising & media agencies. Activities including
- Trade shows
- Road shows, seminars - Consumer events
- Advertising
- Sales and marketing collateral such as mailers, brochures, fact sheets.
- External communications
- Internal communications
- E-marketing
• Working with The President, Asia to ensure appropriate spending of marketing dollars to generate expected result.
• Forecasting the budget to align with marketing goals and promotional activity planned.
• Tracking spend and ensure maximum use of resources without exceeding budget allocation.
• Identify and qualify strategic and tactical marketing opportunities to support growth requirements of the business, product portfolio and budget through research of the market, competitors and gathering information from local and worldwide business and product leaders.
• Develop relationships, negotiate and communicate with external agencies (Advtg./DM) to maximize creative output and effectiveness financial investment.
• Establish long-term marketing partnerships with travel agents, airlines, tourism boards, banks, associations and publications etc.
• Establish close working relationships with vendors, like designers, printers, mailing houses, etc.
• Coordinate marketing collaterals (e.g. brochure, banners, posters etc) and manage the quantities, shipment (customs regulations), warehouse storage and vet through terms & conditions page for Asia edition.
• Prepare costing for joint airline promotions and prepare consumer/agent flyers
• Create and manage detailed proposals for launches, including timelines, venues, vendors, staffing, and budgets etc.
• Coordinate travel fairs, including booth selection, booth setup, collaterals, duty roster etc.
• Approve and confirm all advertising materials (e.g print ads, joint ads, promotions etc).
• Vet and confirm all invoices (e.g. launch, A&P etc) are in order before processing by Accounts Department in Singapore for payment.
• Coordinate e-newsletter to consumers and travel agents
• Ensure product website is updated by liaising with webmaster (e.g. uploading of monthly e-newsletter onto web, updating of agents’ contact details, latest tour status, latest promotions etc).
• Retrieve all brochure requests for Asia Communicate all product, tour-related, sales and promotion information to all trade partners as well as sales, marketing and reservations teams and forward to the relevant General Sales Agents
• Handle the feedback from our guests by replying with an acknowledgement email and forward to Customer Relations Department in Geneva for follow-up
• Coordinate agents’ training
• Prepare sales report and analysing trends and results
• Utilizing social media marketing, eg. Facebook, linkedin, twitter, to its full ability
• Support and assist The President, Asia to manage, co-ordinate and execute all business requirements

 

Requirements:

• Minimum 3 years proven experience working within marketing in the Travel Industry, ideally for a multi-national brand.
• Tertiary qualification in marketing or relevant discipline
• Well-developed strategic and tactical marketing skills
• Leadership qualities to guide marketing activities and lead projects
• Good listening and analytical skills
• Demonstrated ability to create and maintain business relationship
• High level personal organization and time management Skills
• High level communication & presentation skills
• Creativity in design and ideas
• Capability to differentiate Insight offering from competition
• Good Negotiation skills
• Team worker
• Composure/Adaptability- able to support change, encourage innovation and new ideas, handle pressure, adjust to meet changing needs, and handle conflict effectively
• Digital/Technical: knowledge in digital marketing and understanding of mobile technology and how to harness for sales growth
• Computer: proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook & Photoshop
• Fluency in CRM tools like SalesForce.com is an advantage
