The Company

Our client is an international hotel group who is actively expanding its global presence in key gateway cities around the world including continued growth in Australia.Their portfolio is made up of unique, stylish and strategically located properties throughout Australia, Asia, Europe and the Middle East.

The Role

They are seeking a passionate and dynamic individual to join their team to oversee the digital marketing strategy for their Australian properties.Working across the e-commerce platform for the Australian Cluster of properties they will be reporting to the Director of Sales and Marketing Australia.

Key areas of responsibility include determining and implementing strategies and goals for all properties, and driving the day-to-day activity to achieve revenue goals.This includes online marketing, promotion and advertising, developing new social media platforms and working with all relevant stakeholders to implement hotel-level tactical online media plans.

Key Responsibilities

·Devise and implement online strategies to drive traffic to their website and mobile site

·Facilitate improvements and updates on the usability, design and content of the company website

·Develop and manage the strategy and content for social media sites

·Strategic involvement in the development of brand reputation across content, review sites, blogs and other social media platforms

·Leverage social media to communicate the off-line message and align content and social media strategy with PPC and SEO strategies

·Manage and maintain email marketing campaigns

·Communicate and follow through with hotel departments to ensure that the e-commerce commitment is being fulfilled

·Track conversion rates to the company website and facilitate improvements. Monitor reports and results across all channels

·Review analytics and identify areas of opportunity and utilize conversion rate optimization techniques to maximize performance

·Stay up-to-date with social media tools, best practices and how other organizations and companies are managing them, and translate that knowledge into recommendations

·Grow and develop affiliate and strategic partnerships

·Responsibility for planning and budgetary control for all digital marketing

The Person

·Minimum two years’ experience in a digital marketing environment

·Tertiary qualifications in Marketing, E-Commerce or Business

·Previous experience within a hotel sales environment is preferred but not essential

·Experience in e-commerce managing SEO, PPC, social media and affiliate programs

·Strong understanding of current online marketing concepts, strategy and best practice

·Competent Word, Excel, PowerPoint and software packages. Proficiency in

Illustrator / Adobe, and basic HTML skills preferred

·Strong organisational and work co-ordinating skills to handle multiple assignments and projects

·Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of analytical tools, including Google Analytics

·‘Can do’ attitude with a high level of energy and motivation

·Excellent communicator with outstanding verbal and written communication skills

·Able to work under pressure, take on responsibility and work autonomously

·Adaptable to change, and enjoys working in a fast-paced environment
