Job Description

Job Responsibilities:
• Prepare, generate and assist the CFO on annual and monthly budget and financial reporting package.
• Manage and maintain chart of accounts.
• Ensure effective management of standard journal posting and monthly account reconciliations.
• Prepare journal entries required to reflect the monthly activity.
• Manage the monthly close process and month end balances.
• Prepare and timely produce complete monthly financial statements.
• Prepare year to date cash flow reports.
• Prepare and manage, invoicing, collections and A/R, ensure receivables are collected in a timely manner.
• Process accounts payable. This includes payables and allocations of costs incurred on behalf of multiple entities.
• Manage expense allocations to business units.
• Responsible for business unit accounting and reporting. Will work closely with the CFO on revenue and expense recognition and allocations.
• Prepare bank reconciliations.
• Complete regulatory filings (business tax, sales and use tax, miscellaneous).
• Manage the annual audit process for parent and all subsidiaries - create PBC schedules and provide backup support as requested by auditors. Maintain annual audit binder.
• Prepare documentation supporting annual tax return filings for parent and all subsidiaries
• Perform additional responsibilities as assigned by the CFO
• Provide recommendations to CFO on implementation or documentation of accounting policies and procedures.
• Assist CFO and staff on the implementation of new systems and processes as necessary.
• Work closely with CFO on making changes to financial reporting processes as necessary.
• Participate in accounting process improvements under the guidance of the CFO.

Required Experience:
• Bachelors and/or Master's Degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in accounting.
• CPA preferable (active or inactive status)
• At least 5+ years of experience managing the accounting process with increasing responsibilities as an accountant in an environment of rapid change.
• Extensive experience with multi-national organizations with multiple subsidiaries and complex consolidations.
• Experience working as a controller for growth stage technology company, preferably for a software as a service (SaaS) company.
• Extensive accounting experience and capabilities in the areas of monthly close process, AR and AP, cash and account reconciliations, journal entries and knowledge of GAAP.
• Extensive experience in audits and ability to prepare and interpret audit information and to institute financial policy, procedure, and/or operational corrections and modifications.
• Ability to develop and implement effective fiscal/accounting policies and financial controls.
• Proven/Strong knowledge of financial/business analysis techniques.
• Proven team player and ability to work independently while managing multiple project assignments.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong ability to work independently without supervisor.
• Hands-on and detailed oriented.
• Strong problem-solving abilities.
• Well-developed interpersonal and organizational skills.
• Highly proficient in NetSuite ERP and in Excel; Knowledge of other MSOffice applications.
• Experience with different accounting software including cloud-based system implementation.
• Mandarin bilingual is desirable.
