Job Description

Our client is a market leader in Singapore and is fast expanding with multiple award winning concepts and brands located in several locations.

Reporting to the Founder, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) oversees, leads and directs the ongoing operations and standard operating procedures of the hospitality and F&B concepts under his/her charge; directing strategic business growth, sustainable profitability and business efficiency.

S/he will be responsible for three key areas: hospitality/F&B business operations, financial operations, revenue (sales, events) generation and optimisation.

The right candidate must be ready to build and model a great company culture, provide inspired leadership to our executive and management teams, establish a great working relationship with the Founder (and board of directors where applicable) and set a course for operationalising company strategy.

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

(1) Business Leadership

• Work with the Founder and executive leadership team to set business growth direction, develop vision, mission, values, develop short- and long-range strategic plans, goals for each concept and implement operational strategies

• Establishing goals for each department in partnership with business leaders and monitor achievement via a balanced scorecard tool

• Oversee day-to-day operations of the company

• Lead, drive and oversee quality standards, guest experience, process improvement and redesign efforts to meet changing requirements. This includes conducting current state assessments, process mapping, customer journey mapping, designing and implementing solutions

• Present and direct business and operations strategy, and coordinate the preparation of monthly business reports to the Founder

• Represent the company as required, including attendance of important functions, industry events and public meetings

• Assure all legal and regulatory requirements are filed and monitor compliance with laws and regulations

• Build alliances and partnerships with other organizations

• Inspire executive and management team to action and actively embody the company’s culture

• Create an environment that promotes great performance and positive morale

(2) Lead Revenue generation and Optimisation strategy

• Work closely with the CFO (Chief Financial Officer) to prepare annual budgets, complete risk analysis on potential investments, and advise the Founder (and Board of Directors where applicable) with regards to investment risk and return

• Work closely with Human Resources (HR) regarding hiring practices, payroll and benefit disbursement

• Develop sales and business strategy and identify new opportunities to capitalize on


• At least 10 years of corporate leadership experience

• Proven track record and with deep operational knowledge in the hospitality sector

• Well versed with setting and implementing short-, medium-, long-term strategic plans of the business; setting clear performance metrics and corporate governance procedures

• Financially astute with an in-depth understanding of financial operations; profit and loss, balance sheet, cash flow management and general finance and budgeting

• Strong business acumen with the ability to assess issues, evaluate holistically and make balanced decisions

• Proven ability to organize effectively, delegate responsibility, solve problems and communicate clearly

• Able to build consensus and relationships among executives, partners, and employees at all levels; inspire confidence and trust

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

• Energised by working on and solving complex operational or business issues, with a mindset of excellence and pursuit of continuous process improvements
