The Company

Our client provides airlines, airports and travel tech companies with the technology solutions they need to seamlessly connect their inventory across other airline and travel networks, increasing passenger volumes, driving revenue growth and providing more route options for travelers.

 

The Role

Role and Responsibilities:

Business Development

  • Identify and develop both air and non-air strategic partners to be part of the alliance eco-system
  • Develop engagement strategies with regional airline and other alliance customer base for strategic partnerships
  • Supplier engagements to expand channels and increase re-direct traffic to the alliance’s portal
  • Supplier engagements with non-air and ancillary suppliers, to realise cross-selling revenue opportunities for the partners
  • Project manage to support implementation
  • Lead and support the airlines’ efforts in converting interline partners to be an alliance membe
  • Collaborate with global team to realise inter-connectivity of global network partners, with APAC airline partners

Planning and Strategy

  • Plan and strategize airline and airport product and services for growth of APAC region, and beyond
  • Plan and develop market penetration strategies to address different airline and airport segments
  • Execute pricing strategy to support the organisation forward directions
  • Provide regular analysis on market and competitive trend, and recommendations to address new trend needs
  • Design and execute programs to address new market trend and segment
  • Generate reports and analytics to provide insights to identify and harness strategic growth areas

Sales and Account Management (secondary role) 

  • Engage and own relationships with airline and airport customers at all decision-making and working levels 
  • Partner with sales teams from cross-regions to provide strategy to address strategic airline and airport accounts
  • Collaborate with airline partners to launch new products and new markets
  • Design strategies and collaborate with airlines to increase usage of the products and system

 

The Person

Qualifications:

  • Experienced in business development of airline IT, travel, aviation, OTAs industry
  • Experienced in handling regional and global airline customers and account management
  • Experienced and comfortable working in resource constrained, highly cost-conscious environment
  • Experience in introducing and developing e-commerce strategies and working with e-commerce partners
  • Excellent people skills
  • Highly self-directed and results driven 
  • Highly motivated and a team player 
  • Excellent inter-personal skills 
  • Good communication and presentation skills, with experience working with customers from different cultures 
  • Good negotiation skills 
  • Strategic and analytical skills to organize a host of information into analytics for strategic decision-making 
  • Creative in issues resolution 
  • IT and web literate 
  • Self-discipline in working from a home-base environment
