Their property in Sydney is one of the city’s premier luxury hotels with elegant state-of-the-art meeting, function and conference spaces.

About the Role

A wonderful opportunity has become available for a Sales professional - MICE markets, to join this well-known and iconic hotel. Reporting to the Director of Sales you will be selling the events and conference spaces within the hotel, through to corporate & MICE. This role is an essential function within the business and is an opportunity to demonstrate your business acumen with a focus on achieving results in a high paced supportive and collaborative team environment.

Duties and Responsibilities

·Maximise total revenue potential for the portfolio of accounts and      focusing on the MICE markets,

·Developing new business and manage existing portfolios.

·Achieve the hotel MICE revenue budget

·Proactively maintain, increase and service key accounts.

·Prospect for new business, via telemarketing or face to face meetings, conduct famils / site inspections and undertake additional sales activities as required.

·Evaluate sales and marketing results and adjust and re-forecast as required.

·Monitor competitor activities and maintain specialist knowledge of the industry.

·Prepare reports for management on a scheduled basis and as required

·Contribute to the formulation and implementation of strategic sales and marketing plans 


The Person

Skills and Experience:

·A self-motivated, driven sales professional with previous experience within the Events or MICE industries within a luxury hotel or global hotel sales environment.

·Existing relationships within the MICE market

·Proven ability to build and maintain strong working relationships with internal and external clients.

·A track record of increasing sales and building business in designated markets.

·A passion for and commitment to delivering exceptional, pro-active service.

·Impressive interpersonal and communication skills (both written and verbal).

·Working effectively within an energetic team as well as autonomously to drive individual sales.
