The Company

Our client is a well established, international chain hotel located in the heart of Singapore.



The Role

The responsibilities of the Assistant Director of Catering Sales includes developing new clients and retaining existing clientele in the WEDDING market segment for the purpose of selling catering services of the hotel.  He/She will assist the Director of Catering sales in developing and executing strategic plans to achieve goals.  The appointed associate will ensure that catering operations meet hotel standards by functioning a a business partner with all other areas of the hotel that may impact delivering results.

 

  • Confer with customers to understand their catering needs and provide appropriate solutions
  • Provide support to the Catering Director by researching customers and venues
  • Ensure that appropriate market competition data and information on new trends in catering are provided to the Director
  • Coordinate the efforts of the catering staff in order to ensure proper event management
  • Prepare quotations and ensuring that all proposals are within the expectations / standards of the hotel
  • Ensure customer satisfaction by responding to all feedback
  • To handle operational challenges in a professional manner

The Person

  1. 5 years or more in a similar 5 star deluxe hotel with over 35,000 sq feet 
  2. Good range of customer contacts
  3. Proven record in delivering operational results 
  4. Experienced in managing diverse cultural relationships
  5. Engaging and energetic
  6. Financial acumen
  7. Adaptable and comes with the ability to execute changes
  8. A good people person, able to effectively manage and motive a team
  9. High level of both written and verbal communication
  10. Meticulous with a high level of attention to details
  11. A strong negotiator with excellent relationship skills
  12. You must be a wedding event planner expert with an excellent track record or providing and developing a memorable experience of the customer
