The Role

Overview of Role:

Responsible for:

  • This position is held within the Asia Pacific Reservations department and is responsible for selling Cruises and any related add-on products. This involves (but is not limited to) checking availability, taking new and editing/updating existing reservations as well as troubleshooting
  • Efficient call handling & processing all aspects of reservations from Asia Trade Partners.
  • Assisting any Asia Direct Consumers, booked with a Trade Partner, with their queries always ensuring the Trade Partner is kept informed of the outcome

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accurate processing and administration of the company's Reservations for Asia market, which includes:
    • Chasing outstanding balances
    • Ensuring all Guest Information has been completed and is accurate
    • Finalising special requests
    • Adding air, hotel, land & transfer arrangements in conjunction with the guests cruise reservation
  • Advising of any itinerary changes
  • Liaise with Air department for air specific requests in conjunction with the guests cruise reservations
  • Liaise and assist administration/documentation department with various tasks
  • Efficient handling of Asia trade and consumer phone calls
  • Responding to incoming emails & taking appropriate action in a courteous and efficient manner
  • Troubleshooting minor challenges regarding reservations
  • Close communication with relevant departments in all the Offices
  • Running and processing of various reports as assigned
  • Assist in processing of:
    • Groups
    • Other tasks, as required
  • Interaction with Asia Pacific Sales & Marketing teams
    • Assisting (as required) with travel shows, events and travel partner visits/training
  • General administration & other tasks as assigned by the Manager/s

The Person


Years of experience:

  • 2-3 years’ experience in the Reservations/Sales Environment. Preference for luxury and/or travel knowledge

Essential qualifications and skills:

  • Languages – English and Mandarin essential (fluent written and spoken)
  • Competent telephone skills
  • Microsoft office
  • Good / Excellent
    • Customer Service
    • Verbal and written communication skills
    • Organisation skills and ability to prioritise tasks
  • Must be able to :
    • Work independently and be self-motivated
    • Be an effective resource in a team environment
    • Provide knowledgeable, courteous and efficient service
  • Responsible for maintaining thorough knowledge of the compnay's product, policies and procedures
