The Company

Our client is a leader in Hospitality Operations Software solutions with a 5,000 Hotels installed base in over 32 countries including top hotel chains. They build technology solutions that enable hotels to deliver the best guest experience. Cloud Platform includes optimization and automation solutions aimed at hotel operations. They aim to grow their presence in Australia/New Zealand and further increase their penetration in Australia, New Zealand and Pacific International Hotel chains.

The Role

Our client is looking for a high-performing Sales Director in the hospitality market. The successful candidate will be required to meet and exceed customer acquisition and revenue growth objectives within assigned territories and accounts

  • Lead sales and sales strategy to meet sales & profitability objectives
  • Develop and execute strategic plans to achieve sales and profitability targets, market and revenue growth and expand customer base in Australia, New Zealand and Pacific
  • Further establish the company in large Australia, New Zealand & Pacific Island hotel chains – approved vendor status
  • Manage own accounts directly, from lead to close
  • Build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships
  • Partner with customers to understand their business needs and objectives
  • Effectively communicate the value proposition through proposals and presentations
  • Understand hospitality-specific landscapes and trends
  • Reporting on forces that shift tactical budgets and strategic direction of accounts
  • Manage a small sales team

The Person

  • Proven sales executive experience, meeting and exceeding targets, developing client-focused, differentiated & achievable solutions
  • Ability to communicate, present & influence all levels of the organization, including executive & C-level
  • Proven ability to be a self-starter and the ability to drive the sales process within the respective region
  • Experience working within the Hospitality Industry
  • Proven ability to articulate distinct aspects of solutions & services, as well as to position against competitors
  • High energy passionate individual with a passion for new technology and its impact on hospitality operations
  • Excellent negotiation, communication and presentation skills
  • Presentable and eloquent especially when it comes to speaking to prospects
  • Very sociable and able to network with hoteliers and channel partners
  • Quick to resolve any problems that come their way with good initiative & a positive attitude
  • Well-connected within the hospitality industry
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with effective and positive leadership qualities
  • Autonomous - able to be self-sufficient and independent
  • Excellent use of all MS Office applications and experience in SalesForce (CRM) is highly desirable
